Summary of the last auction of DVLA number plates
The last auction DVLA Number Plates took place at Whittlebury Hall, Northamptonshire on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of June. There were one thousand five hundred hand picked private number plates made available with all but 111 being sold by reaching their reserve price. The total amount raised through bids was £3171500 which compares well with the last sale which raised £3332100. Top performer was the registration number 7 O which brought £65,500 .Incidentally 9 O brought £74,500 at the last auction, while 10 OOO brought £42,200 compared with 2 OOO at £25,200 at the last auction. Some of the cleverer personalised number plates utilised the full 7 digits of the latest format of registration numbers and included SO10 MON at £6400, EL10 OTT at £5400 and JK51 NGH at £3100. The next auction will take place at Heritage Motor Centre, Warwickshire on the 4th,5th and 6th August.
